In 2013, the Oakleaf Club of Greater Washington DC established the Advancement Committee to continue the Club’s mission of “Serving Those Who Serve Our Country” as our membership grew and our projects continued to thrive and expand over the years. The primary role of the committee is to oversee all club fundraising and ensure a distinction between funds raised for social and benevolent activities.

As such, the committee promotes charitable giving among Oakleaf membership and families. Rarely, Oakleaf solicits funds from outside of our military community. This was the case in 2020 when the lack of the ability to gather due to the COVID-19 global pandemic severely limited the Club’s ability to fundraise.

No externally solicited funds are used to support the social functions of the Club.
